The key was easy to find and the property was in a convenient location. There was a nice little pub nearby with friendly staff and tasty homemade food. the cottage itself was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen with appliances like an oven, microwave, and fridge freezer. There were even books and toys for the kids, and a DVD player with a selection of movies. the cottage had plenty of space and a large bathroom with a good shower.

The bed in the cottage was quite creaky, which made it a little uncomfortable. Another downside was that there was no access to the mezzanine, which would have been useful for extra sleeping space.

I recently stayed at a farmhouse accommodation in a lovely countryside village. The house itself was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was spotlessly clean and had ample space for our group of seven adults. The four bathrooms and provided towels were a convenient plus. We were pleasantly surprised to find a pint of milk and a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. The owner, although not very talkative, did collect our cash payment late at night.

That the noise from the apartment above was quite noticeable, especially in the evening. the bed could have been firmer and a bit less squeaky.

The communication before our stay was excellent and the welcome pack was a pleasant surprise. We received 2 bottles of wine, a large packet of crisps, and a box of chocolates. The kitchen was stocked with useful extras like salt, pepper, and Yorkshire tea bags. The games room offered 2 hours of free use, which we enjoyed. The attic room was a hit with the kids, although it could use better lighting. The folder of walks and local information was helpful.

The bed was uncomfortable and felt like sleeping with your feet higher than your head. The lack of soundproofing was also disappointing, as noise from outside could be heard easily.

As those taking off early, we loved the exceptionally clean property with a warm welcome from the owner. the location, just 10 miles outside York, was perfect for exploring York, Durham, and everything in between. the loft was ideal for three people and had a comfortable bedroom and ensuite. the added touches like milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine were a nice gesture. the nearby pub served fantastic pub food, especially their chips. We will definitely be returning to try the cooked breakfast soon.
